What Fitbit got right
A fair game between different fitness levels
Get Fit Bingo was more thoughtful than a plain step leaderboard. Its tiles used activities such as steps, active minutes and logged workouts, while the required effort was personalised. Friends with very different routines could therefore play together without asking the less active person to chase the most active person’s raw total.
The bingo pattern also gave every bit of movement an immediate purpose. Activity flipped tiles; flipped tiles revealed progress towards a visible finish. That combination of personal goals, a simple board and friendly urgency is why many players still search for a replacement.
Faction keeps that principle. In party games, everyone enters the same seeded world and sees the same base opportunities, but their targets are calculated from their own baseline. The leaderboard is intended to measure XP earned through comparable effort—not reward whoever already records the biggest numbers.
